24 Weeks -- Baby is the size of a corn cob! | jennafromtheblog.com
How far along? 24 weeks
Maternity clothes: No new purchases this week, but have been pinning tons of cute maternity style ideas that I'm going to try to share this week.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleep is good. Dreams have been more frequent lately. I had a dream the other night that I woke up and went to work and Jose texted me to ask me how the baby was doing, since I'd had him the night before. Whaaaat!?!? And that he looked exactly like Aurora. I was telling Aurora about this dream the next morning and her response was, "No. Way. Mom. I had the exact same dream, only I had the baby and it looked just like you!" Wait. What?
Best moment this week: A lazy weekend! Minus a trip to Target and dinner for my mom's birthday last night, we've been Netflix & chilling all weekend (but like, literally, just chilling). Def a perfect way to spend this snowy weekend. Revenge is our latest addiction.
Miss anything? As weird as it sounds, being able to pick Aurora up. Not something we've done for a while anyway, but occasionally I would and now that I can't, I miss it.
Movement: Lots of movement lately!
Food cravings? Still trying to fight off the sweets and replace with fruits and veggies! I've been doing well with my meal planning and snack planning, but sneaking unhealthy foods in between doesn't help.
Anything make you queasy or sick? Nope
Gender: Boy
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out? Almost out there
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood most of the time: Mostly happy!
Looking forward to: Getting the nursery started this week or next.
Total weight gain: ~20 lbs.

Alas, another Sunday evening has arrived, which means back to the grind tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great week! XO

Finally Friday

My friends. This day took forever to get here! I'm not going to lie, this week was pretty rough. Mostly emotionally, but I'm sure a majority of it has been pregnancy emotions. Between little things going wrong here and there at work, forgetting to take the trash out yesterday [Stupid I know, but now we're stuck with it for a whole extra week! Rough when you're trying to become a minimalist.], and now Aurora is home with an awful cold, I'm glad this week is coming to an end. First world problems, I know.

Jose has the weekend off, so we'll have some much needed family time together, which I always look forward to. We have pizza planned for dinner tonight, we're celebrating my mom's birthday tomorrow night, and a lazy Sunday [minus grocery shopping + meal prep]. This is pretty much my perfect type of weekend. Let's start it off right with some Friday favorites, shall we!?

On the music front, blasting more 90's jams this week. If you know me, you know I've been fangirling over Nirvana since 2014. I think around the time the 20th anniversary of Kurt's murder death, all things Nirvana started to resurface and I became obsessed. Don't get me wrong, I've always liked their music, but I was also 8-ish when they were big and didn't appreciate their music for what it was. All Apologies has always been one of my favorite songs and ever since downloading their Unplugged album, I can hardly stop listening to it. The entire album is pure greatness. I love acoustic music anyway, but the songs are super chill and, of course, that voice.
And just for fun, here's the whole concert they did on MTV. I definitely remember seeing parts of it in between music videos and episodes of Daria. Yes, I was still in elementary school at the time, but my parents rock for allowing me to pollute my mind with MTV. Although it provided me no skills whatsoever in the music/rhythm departments, I can "name that tune" like no other. Also, can I get an Amen! that the 90's where the very best of times!?!?

You know what else I love? My Orca cooler cup. Seriously, this thing is amazing. Ya know how, if you're trying to drink a lot more water, people say to find a water bottle you really like? Well, this is mine. The ice stays ice all day long, so my water is always ice cold. So refreshing - just the way I like it!

I've also had my eye on this faux quilted leather jacket basically since the beginning of time. Lemme tell ya folks, that mom guilt is real over here. My wardrobe pretty much sucks these days because I never don't feel guilty for buying anything for myself. [Yes, I realize there's some type of grammatical error with that last sentence. I'm too lazy to think it through right now. Leave me alone.] If you knew me pre-kid, you know I was an absolute savage when it came to clothes. Especially a good pair of jeans. I would stop at nothing, basically up until the day I had Aurora, for a good pair of jeans. But throw the kids, and now a house, into the mix and I just cannot justify anything that's just for me. Aurora is usually the one that benefits most from this, but house stuff is for all of us, so I can justify that too. Maternity clothes I'm okay with because I literally had to get a few bigger things, but even those are iffy because I'll only be wearing them for a little bit longer.

Speaking of being cheap, did I tell you Jose and I are on our, like, 27th year of doing Dave Ramsey? Not really, but we started a few years ago, when we were still poor and living in our apartment. Could barely maintain our emergency fund because something always came up. Then we both got better jobs (total game changer!) and were moving right along. Then we bought our house and fell off track last year. Was it financially the best time for us to buy a house? Probably not. But, we did. We're in love with our house, and we have no regrets. So, here we are. We're sticking to a budget - a tight one! - and I'm so proud of how we're doing with it. It's amazing how much money you seem to have left over when you know just where every last dollar is going. If you're able to recognize you're spending way too much in one area during the month [as opposed to the end] and can go back and revise, it's so much easier! Anywho, I'm pretty sure everyone and their mama has heard of Dave Ramsey, but we did the Financial Peace University class and read Total Money Makeover and found both extremely helpful. Also, I still use the Monthly Cash Flow worksheets, though I've revised them to fit our expenses.

Mmmm-k, friends! TTFN (Did anyone else use acronyms for literally everything when they wrote notes to their friends in middle school!?)

P.S. Locals, it's Restaurant Week in South Bend! You know where to find me when I'm not on the couch this weekend!

XO

23 Weeks

23 Weeks -- Baby is the size of a mango! | jennafromtheblog.com
How far along? 23 weeks
Maternity clothes: This whole game of buying maternity clothes has been interesting. It's been hit or miss with all the sizes, which results in lots of returns and exchanges. Pictured above are this shirt and these pants from H&M. Both are great fits and are super comfy. Pants are a size up from my usual H&M pant size and shirt is the same size as my usual H&M shirt size.
Stretch marks? None yet!
Sleep: Still sleeping pretty good!
Best moment this week: Aurora's school had their daddy/daughter dance on Friday and watching them dance together melts my heart so much! Jose sure does set the bar high for what Aurora should expect in a guy someday! (Pictures below.)
Miss anything? I feel like I've been craving more foods on the "not while pregnant" list - coffee, sushi, Feta on my buffalo chicken, lunchmeat sandwiches, etc., so I've been missing those types of things.
Movement: Still lots of kicks!
Food cravings? Finished off the last of our Thin Mints and I'm trying SO hard to be good this week. We'll see how that goes!
Anything make you queasy or sick? Nope, not anymore! Hoping it stays this way!
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Still tired most of the time, although I've gone this whole weekend without a nap, so I'll count that as a win! Also, the whole bending over/squatting thing is still an issue, so not really expecting that to change until after baby comes.
Belly button in or out? Still working it's way out!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood most of the time: Not feeling so irritable these days either. I have my moments, but they're fewer and farther between.
Looking forward to: Holding this sweet boy!
Total weight gain: So I'm really starting to think we should invest in a different scale. Last week I was up 16 lbs. (from pre-pregnancy) and this week it says I'm 22 lbs. I'm really not that concerned with whatever number the scale gives me, just not sure it's 100% accurate. I go back to the dr. a week from Tuesday, so I'm interested to see what their scale says. We'll see!

Also, for all you mamas out there, one of my favorite shops I've discovered while researching baby clothes is Lulu & Roo and they're having a 25% off everything sale + free shipping on $75+ purchases! Here's just a few things I've had my eye on for our little man.

Daddy/Daughter dance pictures

Fri-YAY!!!

Happy Friday Everyone!! Apologies to all you retail folks who are telling me to bite you right now. I SO remember those days!

I know you all have been sitting on the edge of your seats wondering how my whole zipper conundrum turned out yesterday. I'm happy to report that I was able to get it unstuck before the end of the day so I didn't have to shamefully crawl back into my coat. Thank God for this unusually warm January weather because I'm never zipping my coat again. Well, until after the baby comes.

So a lot of bloggers do a 5 Things Friday or a Friday Favorites type of post and I thought it'd be kinda fun to do the same. So here we go...

One thing that I'm super excited about on this particular Friday is Aurora's Father/Daughter dance that's tonight! It's also a Mother/Son dance, which I'm SO looking forward to for when the baby starts school. Last year we had so much fun! I helped serve food and then got to hang out and watch them dance together and it's such an awesome way for a dad to show his daughter how she deserves to be treated. Here's a pic from last year:

Another thing I'm loving on this fabulous Friday is everything on the Magnolia Market website. I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment with all that we want to do with the house. The first priority being the nursery, but I just love looking at all their stuff and I absolutely love these planter baskets! Jose is planning on building a farmhouse table for our dining room eventually and I think the baskets with some succulents or some type of greenery in them would look amazing. The hard part, of course, would be keeping them alive.

Speaking of house projects, I'm in love with this front door. I would love to do a complete redo of the exterior of our house, but it's definitely one of the last things on the list at this point.

A few other things I'm loving...

This shirt is everything to me! I'm a homebody/live in my pajamas/cancel all plans type of girl and this sweatshirt def speaks my language. I just have questions as to whether wearing a shirt that says "BAIL" is a good image for a preggo or not??

Thin Mints (obviously!)
The tart conversation hearts are the best! I seriously cannot get enough of them!

And this cd has been taking me back to my middle school days lately. I forgot how much I love Matchbox 20. Actually, any 90's music really. Definitely the best time for music, imo!

Okay friends, that's all for now! I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

XO

How's Your Thursday?

I just had to let everyone know how my day was going. My bump has grown to the point where, whenever I get in the car, my zipper splits upward. It's no biggie. I get out and unzip it and carry on as usual. But today my zipper is legit STUCK and I had to crawl out of my coat and have yet to get it unstuck! I realize they have maternity coats for this purpose, but I'm trying to hold off on any extra maternity expenses for as long as I can, since I know I wouldn't wear it for much longer. I may just have to break.

Happy Thursday! :D

PS, I wish Blogger had emojis.

A Pregnant Girl Talking About... What Else? Food.

So, in light of my consuming zero Girl Scout cookies today, I feel as though I've earned my place in the arena of healthy living. Why not take it one step further and talk about meal planning/prep?

That's right folks! I'm (sort of) back at it!

You may have noticed my subtle humblebragging in my pregnancy posts lately about eating healthier. While this definitely hasn't been the case for the majority of my pregnancy so far, I'm a little excited to no longer feel the urge to vomit at the sight of anything other than Taco Bell. I'd be lying if I said I haven't felt guilty for not eating healthier, but there were some days where the only thing I could get down was something greasy. Or, Girl Scout cookies. And when you're eating for two, I think any food is better than no food at all. I also have to say that, by no means, am I eating perfectly right now. [See previous post.] But again, I'm just happy to be eating healthier the majority of the time.

If you're like me, healthy eating begins with meal prep. Seriously, any week that doesn't begin with meal prep is a total shit show food-wise. When I first started, my goal was to keep it as simple as possible. So I planned [literally created a Google calendar called "Meals"] to have the same thing for breakfast, the same thing for lunches, and the same thing for dinners, with varying snacks in between. Umm. That didn't last at all. I know people that can have the exact same thing for lunch every day and never get tired of it. I am SO not one of those people. It took me about a year, but I think I finally have somewhat of a system down of using the same main ingredients for varying meals. HUGE shout out to my awesome Beachbody coach for all of her amazing recipe and meal prep ideas!

I should also mention that the meal plan I try to stick with is the 21 Day Fix meal plan. For my calorie bracket, I get three Greens (veggies), two Purples (fruits), four Reds (proteins), two Yellows (carbs), one Blue (nuts/dairy), one Orange (seeds/fats), and two oils. Also, I love the Shakeology drinks, but do not always use them. If I do, that counts as a Red, so if I don't, then I just have to have a fourth Red. Below are some examples of what I eat for my meals.
21 Day Fix Meal Ideas | jennafromtheblog.com

Breakfast
2 eggs, fruit (usually blueberries, a banana, or 2 Cuties)
Cut up (beef or turkey) sausage and mixed veggies (see below)

10 am snack
Sweet Potato Hash (I love this so much, so I usually eat this for both Yellows.)
Steel cut oats
Greek yogurt
Cottage cheese

Lunch
Burrito bowl (brown rice, shredded chicken, + whatever veggies I'm still allowed for the day)
Shredded chicken with hot sauce + a veggies (usually 3 small tomatoes)

3 pm snack
Celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins (My absolute fav & yes, I feel 5 when I eat it!)
Sargento snack packs

Dinner
Usually by this point I've used up my two Yellows, but if I haven't I'll have sweet potatoes or brown rice with whatever I'm having.
Steak bites + veggies (usually brussel sprouts, broccoli, or mixed veggies)
Chicken breast + veggies
Meatballs + veggies

Some of the recipes I use are below.

21 Day Fix Meal Ideas | jennafromtheblog.com

One pan chicken dinner. Recipe found here.

This week I made buffalo shredded chicken that I took for lunch each day (Thank you, Allie Darr for this recipe!), but I alternated it between just eating the chicken and eating it on tortilla chips. SO. Good.

First I baked the chicken in the oven. Once it was done, I used two forks to shred it. A mixer would probably work too, but using two forks provides my arm workout for the day. I make one pound of chicken, so then I add one 5 oz. cup of plain Greek yogurt, mix it up. Then I add hot sauce to my liking. Mix it all up and put it in a container for the week. Each day when I take it for lunch, whether I eat it alone or on tortilla chips, I add a little more hot sauce on top. Mama likes it spicey! When I'm not pregnant, I also put a bit of Feta on top.

The mixed veggies that I make are probably my fav way to get my veggies in for the day! At the beginning of the week, I cut up all the onion, zucchini, and squash and put them in gallon-size Ziploc bags. Then, when I'm ready to make them, I just heat up a skillet with extra virgin olive oil in it and, once it's hot, I dump my veggies in. I usually put a tiny big of salt, pepper, and garlic salt in there, but sometimes I forget [imagine that] and it's just as tasty! Saute everything and it takes about 5 min tops! So yummy!

Target has these awesome packs of little steaks that are the perfect size for one Red container. They come in 4 or 8 packs, so I usually get an 8-pack for the week. I cut them into little strips, season, and saute in the skillet as well. Again, about 5 min tops (or until the steak is done)!

The last and most recent thing I've added into our rotation is meatballs (Another Allie Darr recipe!).  I take a lb. of ground beef, a lb. of ground pork, a heaping teaspoon of minced garlic and put it in a bowl. I put some seasonings in there (salt, pepper, garlic salt, basil), and mix it with my hands. Once it's all mixed up, I shape out half-dollar-sized meatballs and put them on a cookie sheet. I cook them for ~25 minutes on 400. Once the meatballs are done, I pour a can of marinara sauce over them and mix. The hot balls [pun 100% intended] warm up the sauce. And they're done! I love these because I'll eat about 3 for my Red serving, but then I'll make some noodles too and Aurora will eat these with spaghetti. Another super easy, quick dinner! When you get home at ~6 pm, the last thing you want to do is take another hour to make a healthy dinner. If we have meals that will take a bit longer to make, I try to plan those on a Sunday night or a night that Jose has off and he usually has it ready by the time I get home. Teamwork!

Oh, and one recipe I cannot leave out is these delicious mini pizzas! It's the first recipe listed. Pizza - on a meal plan!? Count me in!

I know this has been a popular topic on my Facebook feed lately, what with New Year resolutions 'n all, so hopefully this will help you out with that! That is, until you're faced with Girl Scout cookies. Then, you're on your own! ;)

Office Politics

I want to take a break from all things baby today to discuss a completely different subject: office politics. I'm not talking about your typical shmoozing to build yourself up within an organization. I'm talking about proper office etiquette when it comes to leftover food in the office kitchen. You know, the items that require immediate attention.

It all started yesterday afternoon when a co-worker so generously brought in two boxes of Girl Scout cookies for the office to share (One Shortbread and one Thin Mint to be exact). This was at approximately 1:05 p.m. Now, being that I just purchased five boxes over the weekend for myself, I decided, I'm gonna wait this one out. I'm going to give everyone else a chance to get theirs and then, if there's any left, maybe I'll take one of each.

You guys. I kid you not, FIVE minutes went by. Nothing. [It should also be noted that my desk is located directly across from, and the closest to, the kitchen so I am able to observe all of this by a slight swivel of my chair.] But seriously, not one dabbler. Not one little peek inside. Nothing. So, naturally, I casually wander my way into the kitchen. [Seriously, it's like 9 steps. Too bad I didn't have a Fitbit recording all that action.] I peek inside and, just as I suspected, not one of them had been touched. One of each, that's the plan. I mean, I don't want this guy's feelings to be hurt that no one touched his Girl Scout cookies. Well, no one has even bothered though. Three of each wouldn't hurt. There are still more than enough left for everyone else. I take three of each and back to my desk I go.

Work takes place.

At approximately 2:42 p.m., my tastes buds have a hankering for more cookies. No! You can NOT! I will not allow it! Three of each was more than enough!

2:48 p.m. rolls around. I'm just hungry, I thought. I'll eat something healthy. But I'm going to be good and wait it out until 3.

2:59 p.m. rolls around. Close enough. I wander into the kitchen to grab one of my bags of veggies from the refrigerator. I open the door and hear a noise. It's like the Tell-Tale Heart all over again but, instead of coming from the floorboards, it's coming from those two little boxes of yummy goodness sitting on the counter. I'll just take a peek. That is all. Just a peek! I'm just curious if anyone else has eaten any. That's all! And I really can't stand the thought of this poor man's hurt feelings when he sees that no one took any cookies! NONE! Not a one of them had been touched! Well, since my last endeavor, of course. Three more of each and I'm done. I'm awful for taking three more (of each), but I'm pregnant. People will totally understand. Back to my desk I go... shamefully.

Fast forward to 10:00 a.m. this morning. The Thin Mints are gone, but there's still Shortbreads. It's a new day. I'm going to wait until after lunch. If there's still cookies, I'll reassess the situation... Well, I'll just take a little peek to see what we're working with here. One whole sleeve, plus another sleeve with just four cookies in it. Okay, no one will even notice if I take the sleeve with four cookies in it. Back to my desk I go.

Work takes place. Lunch takes place. I'm stuffed. I will have no problem holding off on those cookies.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., another co-worker carries two bags into the kitchen and announces that they're extra lunches from a meeting they had. Up for grabs! I'm already the office cookie monster, there's no way I'm touching those lunches. 5 minutes goes by. I'm just going to see what these lunches even are. Two types of lunch meat sandwiches. I can't even have lunch meat. Problem solved. Back to my desk I go.

Approximately 1:50 p.m. Oh, but I bet there's chips in each of those bags. I could just take a bag of chips. I sit for a few minutes and ponder whether or not it's appropriate to open the lunch bag and just take a portion of the lunch. It's Au Bon Pain and their sea salt & vinegar chips are to die for! I bet that's what's in there. Sea salt & vinegar chips. My mouth literally starts watering at the thought of sea salt & vinegar chips. Seriously, everyone returned from lunch almost an hour ago and no one has touched those bags. I'm taking some chips. I wander into the kitchen. [Seriously so disappointed that all these steps are not accounted for.] I immediately notice that one bag has disappeared. The other has been placed in the fridge. See, someone else thought it had been too long too, so they put it away. When this happens in the office, it basically means no one's touching that lunch. Now I don't even feel guilty about this! I gently tear the sticker off the brown paper bag, anticipating those salty, delicious chips dissolving on my taste buds when... WTF! It's pretzels!!! By now my emotions are swirling, as I try to wrap my mind around what just happened. Pretzels are gross. Why would they do that to us? How could this be happening to me right now?

I take the stupid bag of pretzels, along with 3 more Shortbread cookies [Don't judge me, I earned them.] and quietly return to my desk.

Yes, that's right. I ate those nasty pretzels. Because that' what pregnant chicks do.

22 Weeks

22 Weeks -- Baby is the size of a spaghetti squash! | jennafromtheblog.com

How far along? 22 weeks
Maternity clothes: Ordered some more from H&M - will let you know how they work out!
Stretch marks? None yet!
Sleep: I don't wanna get ahead of myself here, but sleep has been pretty amazing lately!
Best moment this week: Girl Scout cookie delivery!! Woohoo! Thanks for making this mama happy, Holly (& Isabella and Ellie)!
Miss anything? Well, although I'm super grateful to not feel sick anymore, I do kinda miss using that as an excuse to get Taco Bell for every meal.
Movement: Little man's staying busy in there. Lots of random kicks throughout the day and night!
Food cravings? Still eating fairly healthy (minus the Girl Scout cookies, of course!) and did all my food prep this morning, so I'm on track to stay healthy throughout the week. Love good weeks like that. When my food prep doesn't get done, the week is shot for sure. Really hoping I can find the motivation to do workouts this week too.
Anything make you queasy or sick? Haven't felt sick in a while. :)
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Nothing new this week. Sleep is back to normal. Queasiness has subsided. Lots of kicks these days as well. Still tired as a mother all the time and I get short on breath a lot. Lots of people have told me I look really pregnant now, lol. So, that's a compliment I think? I can never really tell. I'm also at the point where, if something falls on the floor, it's probably just staying there. Bending over/squatting is too much!
Belly button in or out? Still working it's way out!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood most of the time: Not feeling so irritable these days either.
Looking forward to: Holding this sweet boy!
Total weight gain: ~16 lbs. (Not sure if this whole fluctuating weight thing is really happening, or if it's just my scale. It's never been very reliable.)

Check out my Sunday night hair! #crazyhairdontcare

How far along? 21 weeks
Maternity clothes: Finally got some maternity clothes! Woohoo! Belly can breathe! I got these work pants from GAP and I love them! They're super comfy and I almost feel like I'm wearing leggings at work! I also love the fit as well. They look exactly like one of my regular pairs of work pants. The people I haven't told yet will never know. Well, except for the extra inches out front. ;) The tshirt in this pic was also one of my maternity purchases from GAP and I love it. It's also super comfy, super soft, and fits my bump just right. I got another shirt and a pair of jeans from there that I'm returning, as they don't fit quite right, so I'm still on the hunt for a good pair of jeans. In the meantime, I found a pair from when I was pregnant with Aurora to hold me over. They're from the Heidi Klum line that was out then (circa 2010) and they were the only maternity purchase I had to make with her - like two months before I had her. I'm convinced this baby will be double her size. (Please let that be a lie. Please let that be a lie.)
Stretch marks? None yet!
Sleep: The past few nights I've actually slept pretty well!
Best moment this week: Finding out Baby Rangel #2 is a boy!!! We got to see his sweet face in the ultrasound and he even yawned. I seriously can't wait until he is actually here!!!
Miss anything? I went back to work last Friday and Aurora went back to school yesterday, so I guess we're back to the grind. I definitely feel more productive being back in our usual routine, but I sure do miss the relaxation and family time!
Movement: Mostly at night time. Also, Aurora finally felt him kick and her face totally lit up! She'd say she felt it before and I knew she really didn't, but I could tell she definitely felt it the other night by the way she looked at me when it happened.
Food cravings? Finally starting to enjoy healthier eating again! Trying to ease my way back into Fix eating, but totally not pressuring myself. And honestly, I think that's made it so much easier!
Anything make you queasy or sick? I haven't felt sick in a while, but still just tired all. the. time.
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: More and more movement! Peeing while sneezing... you know, the usual. I actually feel really pregnant this week. A guy at work told me I actually look pregnant now [You mean, not just fat?], I have to bend all crazy just to get my socks and shoes on, and the little guy sure has been doing some crazy moves in there. Especially earlier today. It totally felt like he was extending both of his legs into my stomach, or kidney, or spleen or something. It didn't really hurt, but it was more of an uncomfortable pressure.
Belly button in or out? It's working it's way out!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood most of the time: I'd like to think I was fairly pleasant this past week. :)
Looking forward to: Starting on the nursery soon! I think we've pinned down (both literally and figuratively) what we want to do. Now Jose we just needs to make it happen!
Total weight gain: ~18 lbs. (Clearly I'm not sick anymore.)

Nursery Inspiration

I have SO many ideas swirling around in my head (and on Pinterest boards) on what I want Baby #2's nursery to look like. While I love Pinterest and it's definitely been my greatest resource for planning, it can be so overwhelming. I'll like 1,000 different ideas and have to find a way to incorporate them all together or eliminate many of them. If you know me, you know it takes me like a million years to make a decision. About anything. So this should be fun. Anyway, here's what I'm loving so far.

I really love the woodland/outdoorsy look. I definitely want to have a planked wall behind the crib, and would love to incorporate some floating wooden or galvanized shelves, some type of barn doors either for the closet or as curtains, and maybe some industrial piping somewhere as well. Also, I love this crib sheet and this rocking chair too. I have a feeling Jose is going to be getting really good use out of all his new tools over these next few months! :D

Here are my plans for the layout of the room. (Yes, I've been thinking about this for quite some time now!)

If you follow me on Facebook, you already know that we found out on Tuesday that Baby Rangel #2 is a BOY!!! Though we don't care either way and just want a healthy, happy baby, we are SO excited to have a little boy to kiss and to cuddle! Aurora is so excited to be a big sister and I just know she is going to be the best big sister ever! So many exclamation points in one post!!!!!!!!!!

Let the nursery planning and outfit shopping begin!
